‘Phil and Teds Sport Stroller’provides parents with dynamism that no other pushchair manufacturer can compare to. If you’re a parent who likes versatility in your life, then the ‘Phil & Teds Sport’ stroller is the perfect option for you. The Phil & Ted’s Sport stroller can be used in four different modes: As a single stroller for a newborn, as a single stroller for a toddler or, by adding the optional ‘Double Seat’ as a twin stroller for newborn & toddler. The Phil & Teds Sport stroller can also be used as a twin stroller for 2 toddlers. The "Phil and Teds Sport" pushchair is suitable from birth by using the ‘Newborn Mode’; Sport’s pushchair can be easily unzipped and unclipped to drop into a position which is almost totally flat. As your little one grows, the Sport’s seat has 4 positions and transforms into the ‘Toddler Mode’ – and the removable bumper bar will provide a comfy ride for any baby. The Sport’s hood provides great protection from the sun and wind and the padded pushchair seat with 5-point harness provides ultimate safety and comfort. The main seat unit will last your child until they achieve the weight of 25kg - that’s about four years of age. The Sport is a highly dynamic pushchair which adapts to suit your surroundings. Sport is an all-terrain pushchair that can be used with ease in the city, countryside or beach, and takes most types of terrain in its stride. Sport’s pneumatic, 3 air-tyres mean that pushing is easy – even with two children on-board. Highly manoeuvrable, the Phil and Teds Sport stroller is light at just 9.7kgs. Phil and Teds Sport boasts an incredibly easy folding mechanism that ensures a highly compact fold for space-saving; the fold is very impressive – surprising nursery retailers and parents alike. To fold the Phil and Teds Sport stroller, simply stand at the front of the stroller, twist the black buttons 180 degrees (located at the side of Sport’s chassis), disengage and fold. To unfold, simply push the front wheel out and lift up the handle until you hear a reassuring ‘click’ - it’s as easy as that! Please note, when folding the Phil and Teds Sport stroller it is vitally important to remember that when in the two-toddler mode (when the double seat is on the back) you MUST remove the double seat, otherwise you may damage the seat or the chassis. For further space-saving and maintenance, all three of the Phil and Teds Sport wheels are quick release. For Sport’s rear wheels, simply press the silver button located in the centre of Sport’s wheel, and simply release. Sport’s front wheel can be removed by pulling out the black button located underneath the footrest. This same button can be used to change your front wheel from ‘fixed mode’ suitable for ‘off-roading’, to swivel mode which is most convenient for shopping and city-strolling. The fabrics on the Phil & Ted’s Sport stroller are water resistant and removable for cleaning purposes. To clean Sport’s fabrics, brush off excess dirt and if necessary use warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly allowing the stroller to air dry, avoiding direct sunlight. The Phil & Ted’s Sport stroller has a single ‘double action’ brake ensuring the stroller remains in a stationary position. Handily, the Sport’s handle is fully adjustable and has five different positions for total comfort. Finally, located at underneath Sport’s pushchair seat, is a multi-functional shopping basket – ideal for those essential bits ‘n’ bobs. Phil and Teds Stroller as a double pushchair… Uniquely, the Phil and Teds Sport stroller – as a single chassis – can easily be transformed into a double pushchair with the use of the accessory the ‘Double Kit’, to cater for a newborn and a toddler. Thankfully, fitting the Double Seat is a breeze too! To connect your Phil and Teds Double Kit, simply remove Sport’s bumper bar using the press-studs and place the Double Kit into the bumper bar tubes; click into place. The red retaining strap located at the top of the Phil and Teds Double Seat is intended to minimise movement and provide extra security. In this position, your newborn baby remains flat using the main pushchair seat unit, and your toddler will sit upright in the Double Seat. When your child reaches 4 to 6 months (or when baby can sit upright unaided), your little one will be ready to sit in the Double Seat at the back of the Phil and Ted’s sports stroller. Handily, the Double Seat can be slightly reclined – ideal for snoozing. Please note, the recline of this Double Seat can only be used up to the age of approximately one year old or until your child’s head reaches the same level as the top of the double seat frame. The Phil and Teds Double Seat takes a maximum weight of 15 kg. A slight recline position on the main seat can still be used for your toddler even with your younger baby seated on the rear. Using the Sport stroller in this configuration; the total combined weight the Sport stroller is designed for is 40 kg (25kg on the front, and 15kg at the rear). Our View…of the Phil and Teds Sport is mainly positive. Sport boasts a unique design which is highly adaptable, practical and simple to use. In some respects however, its simplicity does make it seem slightly ‘agricultural’ due to its basic features. Also, even though the extensive accessory range may seem impressive from a choice point-of-view, we feel it is unfair that many customers have to end up purchasing several accessories as a matter of necessity. For example, some parents have commented that once Sport is used with a newborn and toddler, the shopping tray becomes quite inaccessible, therefore additional Phil and Teds Pannier Bags need to be purchased. Overall however, we’re never unimpressed with Sport’s ability to provide for parents – Sport is a great choice, especially if you’re considering having 2 children close together in age – the Phil and Teds system can save you money in the long-run – simply get the pushchair which will cater for 1 and 2!
