When is a Bugaboo Cameleon not a Bugaboo Cameleon.....when it’s a "Nurse Hello" a product from the Spanish giant "Jane". OK............ so I am being a bit unfair ...........just about the only thing the Cameleon and "Nurse Hello" shares are they look remarkably similar...... for when it comes to using the product they are a very long way apart. True both the Cameleon and "Nurse Hello" are very light (both have aluminium chassis's) and true they have single small wheels at the front and large wheels at the back.......but there stops the similarities because the "Nurse Hello" is less than half the price of a Bugaboo and in reality it does a awful lot more! For a start the "Nurse Hello" can convert from a pushchair to a travel system using either an infant carrier (called Piccola) or a "in car carrycot" (called Capazo), the Cameleon can not do this. Yes the Cameleon offers a soft carrycot which you have to manufacture yourself from the seat frame and fabrics....... but it’s certainly not a pram and unlike Capazo does not offer ventilation or a back rest for baby............and it most certainly can not be used safely in a car. Nor is the Cameleon that easy to use ............the Hello is the exact opposite....it does everything very easily, the handle height adjusts easily, the seat faces in both directions.....easily, the seat adjusts into a number of positions easily..... and when it comes to erecting and folding down.............well the Hello wins hands up. To be fair my colleagues may not agree with the above (I did not write our Cameleon review, but it is how I feel). To add insult to injury the Nurse Hello has one more trick up its sleeve.............with the Cameleon you also have to pay for fabrics, changing bags etc. etc. You will be lucky to get any change out of £750 and it is quite possible to spend close to grand...............only to discover a year or so later that the Cameleon's seat is a bit small, that your little ones head touches the hood and he or she really is not that comfortable. So is the seat much bigger on a Nurse Hello?.....well no it's not that much bigger...........but it is bigger and unlike the Cameleon the Nurse Hello comes with a really good changing bag, comes with either a footmuff or front apron (dependent on model) comes with car fixing kits and comes with a raincover.................all included in the price. How much is a Nurse Hello............well (at the time of writing)…… as a travel system under £340!!! Will the Hello sell as well as Cameleon...........no it won't..........Celebs do not push a Nurse they are simply "too cheap" (sorry Jane...... you probably will not like that word...cheap but I am in that sort of mood...too much wine). Celebs push around a Bugaboo or a Concord Neo (also from Jane) which can cost close to two grand!.......and do the Celebs pay for their pushchairs???...........no of course not.... the suppliers either give them to them .........or pay them to use it!...... knowing that at some point OK magazine will show pictures of baby X and Celeb mum Y..........and up go pushchair sales. Anyway....I am getting carried away...... forget the word "cheap".....replace it with "superb value" and add in the words "easy to use" as good measure........then say hello to a Nurse Hello because if it has a fault……… no one yet knows about it. OUR VIEW: (done the next day...head ache gone). I am not going to change any of the above....it flowed beautifully and what I said was right. The Nurse Hello is a classy looking, superb value pushchair that does everything really well .......and very easily ! In car terms the Nurse Hello is not a BMW or a Merc.... it’s a Toyota or Skoda. You will not be disappointed. The 2010 Nurse Hello comes in three fabrics, Black, Can-Can and Cupuccino (Spanish spelling). Look at the interior lining on the Can-Can and Cupuccino range.........for self evident reasons called "Subway"......it really is soooooo cool! UPDATE: FEB 2010............Thanks you guys at Which?..........you have just stated what we said above (just about a year ago). The Nurse Hello is now a Which? "Best Buy"............and no..... the Bugaboo Cameleon does not get the same accolade. You can check out our recommended retailer video of "Hello" via Youtube (or via their web site).
