'Mountain Buggy Duo' offers multiple seating options to accomodate either 2 newborns, 2 toddlers or a toddler and a newborn.

The Mountain Buggy brand was launched in 1992 by a frustrated dad in New Zealand, who wanted to take his new baby with him while he was running along the mountain trails, but found that no products around would stand up to it.

Measuring only 73cm wide, the Mountain Buggy Duo will fit through most standard width doors and using the 12" air tyres makes it incredibly maneuverable around town and off-road. The Mountain Buggy Duo also boasts fantastic rear suspension, making it a smooth ride for baby wherever you decide to go.

Mountain Buggy Duo comes complete with 2 seat units - each suitable from birth until approximately 5 years, removable Bumper Bar, 2 individual sun hoods and shopping basket.

The handle of the Mountain Buggy Duo is easily adjustable, perfect if there is a height difference between you and your partner, and will typically suit parents between 5' and 6'4".

Available as optional accessories, Mountain Buggy offers 2 different carrycot options. The Duo Twin Carrycot is a double carrycot, which can be used for twins and provides a perfect lay flat area for 2 babies. Many mums of twins love this option, as it keeps babies together for the first few months for essential bonding.

Alternatively, you have the option of the Duo Single Carrycot, which can either be used as 1 carrycot and 1 seat, for a new baby and toddler combination, or together side-by-side, for mums who would prefer individual carrycots for twins.

The Mountain Buggy Duo weighs in at 16.5kg, but you would never believe this by pushing it! It handles better than some of the lighter side-by-side doubles we have encountered and is a smooth push for both parents and babies.

Other optional accessories include Sleeping Bag (Footmuff), Double Sided Fleece Seat Liner, Double Sided Sheepskin and Micro-Suede Liner, Storm Cover and Sun Shade.

Our view:

The Mountain Buggy Duo is a fantastic side-by-side stroller, we'd even go as far to say that its one of the best that we've seen. It is adaptable, sturdy and perfect for all terrain pushing. Mountain Buggy Duo really seems to offer parents the perfect solution, without any real compromise.

When reading the specifications, we were worried about the weight (16.5kg) but having pushed it, we are incredibly impressed and the other features of this pushchair far outweigh the fact that it is heavier than some of the other options available.

Overall, we have not seen a double pushchair of this quality for quite some time and we are very excited by the flexibility that Mountain Buggy Duo will give parents.
