‘Mamas and Papas Surefix Adjustable Base’ is a non-ISOfix base, which can be easily fitted with the conventional 3-point adult seatbelt, to make attaching your Mamas and Papas Primo Viaggio IP (and previous SIP model) infant carrier even quicker, simpler and easier.
The Surefix Adjustable Base in incredibly easy to install; you simply use the conventional vehicle seat belt by weaving the belt through the Base’s easy-to-use, colour coordinated routing-points; and once attached, this will save time, as you merely need to ‘quick-drop’ the Primo Viaggio infant carrier into place.
Surefix Adjustable Base uses the Surefix® one-click system, so you literally clip the infant carrier into place and unclip after your car journey. Parents tend to like the peace of mind the Surefix Adjustable Base provides - as you know that your infant carrier is securely fitted every time. You can handily check that the Surefix Adjustable Base is level, by using the level gauge; you simply look for the bubble in the indicator window and then turn the adjuster to level the base to gain the optimum angle.
Our View… is that the Surefix Adjustable Base is very convenient and handy for use in the car, if you’re on the go and do not have time to install your infant carrier every time.
However, if you are someone who has the time to fit your Primo Viaggio with the conventional 3-point adult belt, we would recommend that purchasing the base is not really necessary. Although the Surefix Adjustable Base does seem to save time and make life easier, you still should check that the Base is secured properly each time.
