Jane ‘Nomad’ is another practical and uniquely designed pushchair able to convert to travel system and is created by the Spanish giant – Jane. If you want a tough, versatile, lightweight, reliable, multi-purpose stroller – then Jane Nomad is the best candidate! When buying a pushchair or travel system, it is vital that the product that is purchased suits the lifestyle of the user, and Jane Nomad is a great product for many people with a dynamic lifestyle. Jane Nomad’s Chassis… The first thing you will notice about Nomad is the quality and its incredibly light weight. Jane Nomad’s oval tube chassis and pushchair seat are larger than most strollers, yet when you lift Nomad, the chassis weight is only 6.5 kg - just 1 kg heavier than an everyday baby buggy, which we personally think is astonishing! Nomad also has all round spring suspension and swivel front wheels, which can easily be locked, if going over slightly bumpy terrain. Nomad’s rear wheels can be easily removed; you simply by push the button located in the middle of the wheel and the wheels will release. Both of Nomad’s rear wheels are ‘ball bearing raced’, making Jane Nomad a pleasure to push. Nomad constantly adapts for your little one - Nomad has the ability to change rear suspension strengths from hard to soft dependant on weight of load and terrain. Also, located in the middle of the rear axle of Nomad’s chassis, is a sleeve onto which you can quickly clip on a ‘Surfer Board’ - Jane’s own version of a buggy board. Underneath the "Jane Nomad" there is a huge shopping basket which can be accessed from both the side and rear – this is one of the very practical features of Nomad. Finally, on Nomad’s rear axle, the parking brake islocated. It is engaged simply by pushing it down with your foot and lifting off to be released – easy! Jane Nomad as a Pushchair… Jane Nomad boasts a fantastically designed seat, which is comfortable, spacious and suitable from birth. Nomad has a multi-position pushchair seat, which locks into a multitude of positions simply by pulling the two straps located on the rear of the seat. Jane Nomad also an adjustable leg rest and a bumper bar with removable, washable covers. The great thing about Nomad is its incredibly wide seat, which will easily take a child from birth to 4 years. Many nursery retailers will actually recommend Nomad for taller or older children, as it can comfortably take a lot of weight and height. Another advantage of Nomad’s large, highly comfortable seat is that it does not have to be removed before folding and this is a significant advantage over many other pushchairs. Jane Nomad boasts an over-sized, winter hood, which can be converted to a light-weight summer sun canopy. On the back apron, a rear pocket is provided - ideal for mobile and keys. Dependant on model Nomad’s hood may be reversible - enabling Mum to change to two different colourways! Folding Jane Nomad is very easy - to fold Jane Nomad, simply lift the primary locks located on each handle, lift the pushchair slightly, and close together. The Jane Nomad will lock into position, to make carrying the Nomad even easier – the light-weight chassis means transporting the chassis a doddle! To erect Nomad, simply push down on the locking lever and jerk back – Nomad will make a reassuring ‘click’. Note that the handle has three different heights, and ingeneral, Nomad will suit everyone between 5 feet and 6 feet 4 inches tall. Nomad is a pushchair that suits many people with very different lifestyles. As mentioned, Jane Nomad is not the best ‘off-roading’ pushchair – ideally pneumatic air tyres, like you would find on Jane Slalom, would be better for all-terrain strolling. However, if you’re based in town, and enjoy walks in parks – then Nomad is the perfect chassis for you! Jane Nomad as a Travel System… Nomad is one of the Jane chassis which is able to transform into a travel system, with the use of one of Jane’s car seats options. To convert Nomad to a travel system, Jane recommends that you remove the pushchair seat before attaching any car seat – this will preserve the pushchair fabrics and allow the car seats to fit better on the chassis frame. The Nomad pushchair seat comes off in seconds; simply undo the poppers located at the side and front of the seat and then release the Velcro straps located under the Nomad’s seat. Finally unclip the straps attached to the handle – done! At this point you can ‘quick-drop’ any Jane compatible car seat or car carrycot onto the chassis of the Nomad and it will simply lock into position. Jane uses a unique ‘Pro-Fix’ system, which allows you to drop onto any compatible chassis, any of the car seat options – straight onto the frame, without the need of extra ‘fixing kits’. The compatible models for Nomad include:- Matrix Cup, Matrix Light, Rebel Pro, Strata, Capazo and Transporter. The great thing about Jane is that they give you plenty of options – you choose the car seat and chassis that best suits your lifestyle. Our View…is that Nomad is an excellent all round pushchair, with no major flaws and very few minor ones. Nomad has no ‘gimmicks’ - it is a simple, honest pushchair that does everything very well. The quality of all Jane products is immedicable, and Jane Nomad is a perfect example of a well built product.
