Bebe Confort has proven to be an incredibly popular company across Europe as a whole. The Creatisfix (formerly Creatis) is a group 0+ infant carrier (from birth to 13kgs) designed to attach to the Bebe Confort “Loola” and “Loola Up” pushchair chassis’s to make a travel system, using the ‘Modulo Clip’â fitting system.

The difference between Creatis and Creatisfix is that the latter model can be fixed to a base – the Creatisfix Base, (see below).

The Creatisfix has a removable body support pillow (which can be used up to 3 months), which creates a very flat position for your little one. Being very flat (as recommended by health professionals) and incorporating a height adjustable harness and head cushion for added comfort, makes the Creatisfix without question one of the best infant carriers you can get your hands on! To confirm our beliefs, that Creatisfix has been awarded a 4 star rating in European consumer associations car seat tests in 2007.

You’ll notice that the unusual shape of the Creatisfix, which has been designed to create a ‘cocoon feeling’ and actually is generous for growing space. In usual Bebe Confort style, comfort and safety has been considered, so the head cushion is a sponge fabric and an ‘air-circulation system’ has been incorporated in the design, including breathable fabrics.

Creatisfix is easy to fit in car and rather unusually the seat belt feed goes under the chassis of the car seat to install. This makes Creatisfix incredibly secure in car and this is definitely an advantage over many of its competitors.

The Creatisfix Base can be purchased in addition to the Creatisfix for slightly quicker fitting in your car.  The Creatisfix Base is "universal" (although must be checked in each car for secure fitting, like all car seats and bases), and installs easily with a 3-point seat belt. The belt routing is clearly indicated on the Creatisfix Base and a colour indicator aids correct installation.

Many parents love their Creatis/Creatisfix; they find it practical to use with/without the Creatisfix Base, a fantastic fit in a majority of cars and its unique design ensures the baby is total comfort for every journey from birth to approximately 12 months.

Our View:

We think that overall the Creatisfix is a fantastic car seat, which is unique and well designed for all aspects of in-car safety and comfort.

However, the Creatisfix Base sadly lets Creatisfix down because the base is only really a ‘half base’; the user still has to attach the seat belt to the car seat, in addition to the original instillation of the Creatisfix Base.

We think that it is a shame that a car seat ......that is clearly a “winner” as it offers many health benefits to baby, has such a poor base. Our advice is not to consider the purchase of the Creatisfix Base, as bases generally are used to create ease of use and quickness when installing the car seat - this base does not live up to these characteristics entirely. As a car seat however..............Creatisfix........is superb!
